Hello, my name is Anna. I have worked in maternity services, and with parents for 28 years, mostly as an NHS midwife. More recently I have worked as a counsellor in perinatal mental health services with people who have experienced baby loss and birth trauma.
I am a BACP accredited counsellor with Petals, alongside working in a hospice at home team. My interests are walking my dog in nature, singing in a choir, mindfulness and meditation.
I have much compassion and have always found it humbling and a great privilege to work with people experiencing loss. It is an honour to be present at what can be such a raw and painful time. I aim to be alongside and support people through grief and transition, to facilitate them accessing their own inner strength moving forwards, and to hold a space for them to explore making meaning in their lives.
