Double your Donations with Big Give
Thank you for registering to fundraise with Petals this December!
Below you can download a short presentation explaining who we are, what we do and why we need your support this Christmas, to share with decision makers at your company, as well as our printable poster to advertise your fancy dress event within your team.
If you’d like to fundraise in a different way, or need any support from our team, simply email fundraising@petalscharity.org. We’d love to hear from you!
*Please note: all donations must be paid in by midday on Tuesday 9th December to be eligible for being doubled.

Every £80 raised by colleagues would fund one specialist counselling session.

Raising £500 would fund a full programme of Petals Counselling for an individual or couple.
How does the Big Give work?
We have a match-funding pot of £5,300.
For this week only (2nd – 9th Dec) any donations up to this amount will be doubled.
Here’s where you come in…
For every 8 members of your team that come to work in fancy dress on Thursday 4th December – each donating £5 – one Petals counselling session will be funded (8×5 = 40, double 40 = £80, the cost of one session).
If you work for a bigger company, 50 people dressing up and donating £5 would fund an entire counselling package for an invdivual or couple in need of our support (50×5 = 250, double 250 = £500).
If you’re not dressing up, whatever you can donate will be doubled.
It’s a no brainer!
With special thanks to our match funders, Amina Sound, Reed Foundation and James Schumann and Suzy Harvey.
About Petals, the baby loss counselling charity
The reality of losing a baby during pregnancy – or shortly after birth – is often misunderstood and underplayed. The experience is not only heart-breaking, but traumatic.
Petals is a charity that exists to provide specialist counselling to bereaved parents going through this devastating experience. We create a safe space for parents to talk about what happened — often for the first time. By helping them process the trauma and make sense of their experience, we help parents begin to heal and move forward with hope for the future.
Founded in 2011, the charity has grown to support over 1,500 parents across the UK each year. Yet the need continues to outpace our capacity. We are working hard to raise the funds needed so that every bereaved parent can access the specialist care they deserve.
