We’re so pleased to have welcomed new faces to the Petals Team over the past few months, as we continue to expand to meet the growing need for specialist counselling following baby loss.
Over the past 12 months, the number of parents we have been able to support has increased by 30% and continues to grow all the time.
Joining our dedicated team at Petals, each new member brings compassion, expertise, and a shared commitment to our mission: ensuring that every parent who experiences a loss of any kind has access to Petals’ specialist counselling.

Meet Clare!
After working with Petals over the past year in a consultancy role, Clare officially joined the team in July as Head of Fundraising and Communications.
Clare is passionate about growing Petals’ charitable income through grants and trusts, working with corporate sponsors, and continuing the wonderful work that our fundraising team and loyal supporters do for our charity.
She is currently working hard to build relationships with existing and potential supporters to ensure that our funding continues to grow in line with the ever-increasing demand for specialist mental health support following a loss.

Meet Nancy!
As our charity grows, so does our wonderful team of fundraisers and supporters: #TeamPetals!
To keep up with this incredible increase in the number of events and fundraisers we are delighted to support, Nancy has joined Petals as Fundraising Administrator, supporting our Events Coordinator, Tracy, in all things fundraising.
Nancy is currently working closely with our Communications team to ensure the smooth-running of our databases and working behind the scenes to guarantee that our brilliant fundraisers and donors know just how much they mean to us.

“I moved from a career in radio journalism to not-for-profit and have worked in senior communications and fundraising roles for a number of charities, supporting causes such as social mobility and hospice care.
In 2023 my niece, Eloise, was stillborn at 38 weeks and the support Petals gave my brother and his wife was life-changing. It opened my eyes to the importance of specialist counselling being available for the hundreds of people who experience the unique trauma and pain of baby loss.
My role is to lead the team in generating as much charitable income as we can to sustain the charity and support as many bereaved parents as possible, and to raise awareness of the incredible work we do at Petals and the expertise we hold within the team.
Our fundraising target is ambitious but demand is high – we are determined to widen our reach. Support Petals and you will make a demonstrable and long-lasting impact on the lives of others.
If you are interested in getting involved personally, or through a foundation or a business, I would love to hear from you.”

“I joined Petals in 2025, driven by a strong desire to begin a meaningful career in the charity sector.
It has been a privilege to become part of such a dedicated and compassionate team who share that same passion for making a difference.
Each day, I am deeply inspired by the stories of our clients and the profound impact that Petals specialist counselling has had on their lives. Working for a charity that delivers such essential and highly valued support is incredibly rewarding.
As Fundraising Administrator, I’m proud to support the smooth running of our fundraising process as the need for our services continues to grow. Every pound we raise helps us reach more bereaved families, and I feel honoured to play a part in helping Petals move closer to its vision: that every family in the UK has access to the specialist counselling they need after baby loss.”

Having seen first-hand the impact of Petals counselling, I feel privileged to have joined this wonderful charity and to play a part in raising awareness of the incredible difference that Petals counsellors make.
As Digital Communications Coordinator, my aim is to use social media, our website and online communication with our loyal supporters to celebrate the life-changing support that Petals provide to so many families, while raising awareness of the importance of enabling free specialist counselling for even more parents.
I am in awe of the many inspirational supporters I have had the pleasure of working with since starting at Petals and am passionate about using our online presence to achieve our aim: for every family affected by baby loss to have access to our service.”
