Help us be there for more families
Every day, 295 people experience pregnancy or baby loss. Our aim is that one day, anyone who needs our counselling can access it. We can only do that with your support.
How your regular donation helps others
Baby loss is not only heart-breaking, it can shatter relationships and can be the catalyst for mental health issues.
Our specialist counselling is proven to help people navigate one of the hardest life events. It is provided for free and without judgement – we will help people experiencing any type of baby loss. But it comes at a cost. We need to raise £1255 every single day, and more if we want to meet the increasing demand for our services.
Regular donations allow us to plan with confidence. If we have long-term, sustainable support, we can sensibly estimate how many people can access our counselling.
Together, the Petals Network help fund:
- Parents through a course of counselling sessions designed to support them with their grief and help them find a way forward
- Our group counselling for people who are expecting a baby following a previous loss
- The development of leaflets and our website so information about baby loss and our services is readily available for all
- The training we give new counsellors, our Petals Counselling Programme

Thanks to our Petals Network, we can be there for parents like Kirsty and Nathan.
Following an early miscarriage with their first pregnancy, their baby Savannah was stillborn – three days before her due date.
“It was the single most devastating moment of my life,” Kirsty told us. “The first few weeks were exceptionally dark, nobody could comfort me. Nathan contacted Petals on my behalf as he recognised I needed support that went beyond the capability of him, our family or our friends.
“Navigating the funeral and post-mortem results (inconclusive) and battling the guilt of longing for another baby were made bearable by the support of Petals. Slowly, the weekly sessions with our Petals counsellor helped me to begin to accept that although I could not take care of Savannah in the physical sense, I could continue to find ways to be her mother.”
With the Petals Network, we can be there for more parents when they lose a baby. Thank you.
