As part of our partnership with Suffolk and North East Essex ICB, we are able to deliver our specialist counselling support to bereaved parents who have received their care at Colchester hospital as well as to those who are residents of North East Essex no matter where they have received their care.

The terms of this partnership state that we are able to provide funded counselling sessions to parents who have experienced any of the below within the last year:

  • Early Miscarriage
  • Second Trimester Loss
  • Recurrent Miscarriage
  • Termination for Medical Reasons (TFMR)
  • Stillbirth
  • Neonatal Loss
  • Pregnancy After Loss (In most cases, the support offering for Pregnancy After Loss will be a counsellor led support group)
  • Traumatic Birth

Your referral must come from a healthcare professional involved in your care. If you fit the above criteria, please ask the professional referring you to complete this referral form

If your loss does not come under any of the above, please still complete our request for counselling form. Our counselling coordinator will always respond to you and signpost you to other services that may be able to offer you support.

If you work in another Trust and are interested in setting up a Petals service, please contact us via partnerships@petalscharity.org
