As part of our partnership with Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, we are able to deliver our specialist counselling support to bereaved parents who have received their care at Yeovil Hospital as well as to those who have received their care at Musgrave Park, Taunton.

The terms of this partnership state that this service will focus on supporting parents who are known to the Bereavement Midwifery team and provide support within the following criteria:

  • Early Miscarriage (including molar, ectopic pregnancy / if referred from the gynae team)
  • Recurrent Miscarriage
  • Second Trimester Miscarriage
  • Termination of pregnancy for medical reasons (any gestation)
  • Stillbirth
  • Neonatal Loss

Other clients can be accepted as exceptions, if outside the above criteria but referred through the Bereavement Team.

If you fit the above criteria, please ask the professional referring you to complete this referral form. 

If your loss does not come under any of the above, please still complete our request for counselling form. A member of the Petals Team will always respond to you and signpost you to other services that may be able to offer you support.
